Biography
Rose Magee (b. 1990, UK), is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist exploring
culture - nature - dualism through the mediums of sustainable sculpture and
installation. In 2019 she graduated from The University of Applied Sciences
Berlin with a degree in Restoration and Conservation. In September 2022 she will
begin a masters in Contemporary Art at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
Her works have been exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions in
Germany, Malta, and Montenegro as well as the UK. During her residencies in Italy
and Lithuania, Rose began to focus her practice on the parallels between the
othering of minority groups and climate change with emphasis on Jewish visibility
within the community.
Since 2020 Rose is a member of the artist collective Diagonale and most recently
joined the board of Moving Poets Berlin, a center of arts and culture helping
create outreach and educational programs that promote cultural exchange and tolerance.
She is currently working for the 12th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art as an assistant registrar, whilst maintaining an active art practice utilizing multidisciplinary mediums as an investigative tool.
