ABOUT
Rose Magee (1990, UK) is a Tallinn-based visual artist with an educational background in archaeological conservation and contemporary art. In a time when the physical and virtual worlds have become divided and polarised within our globalised society, she explores the nuances of hybrid identity as a unifying factor. Her object-based artistic practice focuses on tactile qualities and addresses these issues through materiality.
She has participated in residencies, symposiums and art festivals in Germany, Italy and Lithuania. As well as solo and group exhibitions in Estonia, Germany and the UK. She has received the Estonian Government scholarship programme for international students for the academic year 2023/2024 and the 2024 Helju Rossmann Schneider stipend. From October 2024 she will participate in an artist residency at Alte Spital Solothurn in Switzerland for four months building on the themes of her graduation work.
